Chef’s Corner | Tom Van Lente
Tom Van Lente was born into a family passionate about and successful in the culinary and business worlds. Raised in Burr Ridge, Illinois, Tom is the grandson of legendary theatre owner, Tony DeSantis of Drury Lane Theatre.
Tom’s fervor for cooking came at a young age, and he was able to pursue this vocation after his graduation from DePaul University with a B.A. in Public Communications. Directly after, he attended and graduated from Kendall College where he earned his associates degree in Culinary Science. From there Tom went to work at Landmark, part of the acclaimed BoKa Restaurant Group.
